Organize documents with folders in your workspace.

What are folders?

Folders group related documents, canvases, and other folders together within a board tab. Use them to create structure within sections or at the root level of any board tab.


Creating folders

To create a folder: Click the plus folder icon in the left sidebar → Name it

When creating or renaming a folder, you can also customize its icon and icon color to make it easier to identify at a glance.


What folders can contain

  • Documents
  • Canvases
  • Other folders (nested)

Folders can be placed inside sections or at the root level of a board tab.

Nesting folders

Folders can be nested inside other folders for deeper organization.

Example:

  • Novel (folder)
    • Act One (folder)
      • Chapter 1 (document)
      • Chapter 2 (document)
    • Act Two (folder)
      • Chapter 3 (document)

Customizing folders

When creating or renaming a folder (right-click menu), you can:

  • Change icon - Choose from available icons
  • Change color - Change the icon color
