What are folders?
Folders group related documents, canvases, and other folders together within a board tab. Use them to create structure within sections or at the root level of any board tab.
Creating folders
To create a folder: Click the plus folder icon in the left sidebar → Name it
When creating or renaming a folder, you can also customize its icon and icon color to make it easier to identify at a glance.
What folders can contain
- Documents
- Canvases
- Other folders (nested)
Folders can be placed inside sections or at the root level of a board tab.
Nesting folders
Folders can be nested inside other folders for deeper organization.
Example:
- Novel (folder)
- Act One (folder)
- Chapter 1 (document)
- Chapter 2 (document)
- Act Two (folder)
- Chapter 3 (document)
- Act One (folder)
Customizing folders
When creating or renaming a folder (right-click menu), you can:
- Change icon - Choose from available icons
- Change color - Change the icon color
