What is Scribeist?

Scribeist is a writing platform designed to eliminate context-switching. Instead of juggling multiple apps for different writing projects, Scribeist provides specialized workspace types—Blog, Novel, and General—all in one place.

At its core, Scribeist is built for writers who want their tools to adapt to their projects, not the other way around. While we offer powerful AI features to enhance your writing, they're completely optional. You can use Scribeist as a distraction-free writing environment without ever touching the AI tools.


What you'll need

  • An email address
  • An internet connection
  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)

Currently there is no downloadable app/offline functionality.


Creating your account

1. Visit Scribeist

Navigate to https://scribeist.com and click Sign Up.

2. Choose your sign-up method

You can create an account using:

  • Email and password - Enter your email address and create a password
  • Google - Sign up with your Google account
  • GitHub - Sign up with your GitHub account

If you signup with just your email (not using Google or Github). You will need to verify your email.

3. Verify your email

After signing up, check your inbox for a verification email from Scribeist. Click the verification link to activate your account.

Note

If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check your spam or promotions folder.

4. Start your free trial

Your account comes with a 7-day free trial that includes full access to all features. No credit card required—you won't be charged unless you choose to subscribe after your trial ends.
