What is color coding?
Color coding allows you to assign colors to Mythos entities so they're highlighted throughout your manuscript. This makes it easy to see where characters, locations, and other elements appear at a glance.

Assigning colors:
To assign a color to an entity:
- Open the entity's profile
- Click on the three dots in the top right
- Choose a color from the palette
Entity mentions are now highlighted in that color throughout your text.
Color inheritance:
Parents can pass their color to all child entities.
How it works:
- Assign a color to a parent entity
- Select the parent entity colour token in any child entity
Note
Child entities only inherit a parent’s color if you manually select the inherited color in the child’s color palette. Colors are not applied automatically.
Example: Assign blue to "The Empire" (parent location) and all empire cities (children) are highlighted in blue.
Overriding: Child entities can have their own colors assigned, which override the parent's color.
