What are other Mythos entities?
Beyond characters and locations, Mythos lets you track other important elements of your story world.

Entity types:
Organizations
Track groups, factions, guilds, and institutions.
Examples: The Assassin's Guild, The Royal Court, The Rebel Alliance
Lore
Track world-building details, mythology, and history.
Examples: The Prophecy of Light, The Great War, The Five Laws of Magic
Items
Track important objects in your story.
Examples: The Sword of Kings, The Lost Amulet, The Ancient Map
Events
Track significant occurrences in your story timeline.
Examples: The Battle of Redmoor, The Festival of Lights, The King's Death
Custom
Create your own entity types for unique story elements not covered by the other categories.
Creating entities
To create an entity:
- Go to the World Entities board tab
- Click "New Entity" and select type
- Enter entity details
Basic information:
- Name - Entity's primary name
- Aliases - Alternate names or references
- Photo - Upload a reference image (max 10MB)
What Mythos tracks
Mentions
Every time the entity is referenced in your manuscript, with document and context.
To view mentions: Open entity profile → Mentions tab
Color coding
Assign colors to entities to see them highlighted throughout your manuscript.

Relationships
Create hierarchies to organize complex world elements.
Examples:
- The Assassin's Guild (organization) → Individual assassins (characters)
- The Five Laws of Magic (lore) → Individual spell rules (lore)
- The Royal Treasury (location) → The Crown Jewels (items)

Reference entities with @ in AI Chat for context-aware responses.
Example:
@TheSwordOfKings was forged in @TheGreatWar. Write a scene where @JohnDoe discovers its true power.
