What is the Trash tab?
The Trash tab holds deleted documents, folders, and canvases until you permanently delete them. Items in Trash can be restored at any time.
Warning
The Trash tab is only available on Hobby and Pro plans. On the Free plan, all deletions are permanent.
What gets moved to Trash
When you delete a document, folder, or canvas on Hobby or Pro, it's moved to Trash rather than permanently deleted. Items remain in Trash until you choose to permanently delete them.
Information
Folders retain their full structure and nested contents in Trash, and are restored with that structure intact.
Restoring items
To restore an item: Open Trash tab → Right-click the item → Select "Restore"
Restored items return to the board tab they were originally deleted from:
- Documents restore with full version history intact
- Folders restore with their complete nested structure and all child documents
- Canvases restore in full
Permanently deleting items
To permanently delete an item: Open Trash tab → Right-click the item → Select "Delete Permanently" → Confirm
Warning
Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Items cannot be recovered after this point.
