What are workspaces?
A workspace is a self-contained writing environment for a specific project. Each workspace has its own files, settings, and organization—completely separate from your other workspaces.
When you create a workspace, you choose a workspace type, and Scribeist configures the interface with tools tailored to that style of writing.
Available workspace types
Each workspace type is optimized for different writing needs:
- Book → - Fiction or non-fiction books, long-form writing, planning, and references
- Blog → - Articles, SEO content, web publishing
- General → - Notes, journaling, freeform writing
All workspace types included
Every Scribeist plan includes access to all workspace types. You are not choosing between Book, Blog, and General when selecting a plan.
Managing workspaces
Workspace Settings: Each workspace has its own settings for cover image, typeface, dark mode, and more.
Deleting a workspace: Export your work first—deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
