Scribeist offers a free plan plus paid plans in two billing styles:

What's the main difference?
All plans include access to every workspace type (Blog, Novel, and General). The differences are:
AI Credits
- Free: No AI access
- Hobby: 1,000 credits per month
- Pro: 2,500 credits per month
- Hobby (BYOK): No monthly AI credits, because supported AI requests are routed through your OpenRouter key
- Pro (BYOK): No monthly AI credits, because supported AI requests are routed through your OpenRouter key
Advanced Features
- Free: Limited features (basic editor, limited planning and research)
- Hobby: Full features (Canvas, imports, sharing, publishing integrations)
- Pro: Everything in Hobby plus higher-tier feature access
- BYOK plans: Same plan-level features as their non-BYOK equivalents, but AI usage is routed through OpenRouter instead of Scribeist credits
BYOK plans
BYOK stands for Bring Your Own Key.
With a BYOK plan, Scribeist keeps the same plan-level features but routes supported AI requests through your OpenRouter API key instead of deducting Scribeist AI credits.

All workspace types included
Every plan gives you access to Blog, Novel, and General workspace types. You're not choosing between workspace types. The main choice is whether you want Scribeist-managed AI credits or a BYOK setup through OpenRouter.
Changing plans
You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from Account Settings → Manage Subscription.
