Organizing Your Workspace Dashboard

Use folders, pinning, search, and ordering to organize your projects.

Organize projects before opening them

Dashboard folders organize entire workspaces on the All Workspaces page. They are separate from the folders that organize documents inside a workspace.

Use dashboard folders to group projects by client, series, writing type, status, or any system that fits your work.

Create and use folders

Create a folder from the workspace dashboard, give it a name, and move workspaces into it. Folders can also contain other dashboard folders.

Open a folder to view its workspaces and child folders. Use the breadcrumb path to return to a parent folder or the main dashboard.

Moving a workspace into a dashboard folder does not change any documents or settings inside that workspace.

Pin important work

Pin a workspace or folder to keep it ahead of unpinned items at the same dashboard level. Unpinning returns it to the normal ordering without deleting or moving it.

Workspaces inside a folder can be pinned within that folder.

Rearrange and move items

Drag workspaces and folders to arrange them. You can move a workspace into a folder, move it back out, or move folders within your dashboard structure.

Search across the dashboard

Use dashboard search to find a workspace or folder without navigating through every folder. Search results preserve the item's location so you can open or organize it from the results.
