Open Planning Center
Planning Templates are available only in Book workspaces. Select the Planning board, then choose Planning templates from the add control at the top of the sidebar. Planning Center groups starting points into story templates, diagrams, structured plans, and notes.
Choose a template, confirm the document name, and Scribeist creates an ordinary editable planning document. The prompts are starting text rather than a locked form, so you can rewrite headings, remove prompts, add your own questions, and format the result like any other document.
Choose a starting point
Available templates include guided structures such as:
- Plot Builder
- Start With the End
- SPOOC Method
- 7-Point Story Structure
- Pixar Story Spine
- Magnificent Seven Plot Points
- Hero's Journey
- Plot and scene diagrams
- Blank Planning Note
The available collection may grow over time. Templates marked as coming soon cannot yet be selected.
Fill in and adapt the document
Replace each prompt with your own notes or answer beneath it. You can move the document into a folder, open it in split view beside a draft, and add it to AI Chat as exact context.
Once you add your own material, AI Chat can use the planning document through Add or Search workspace.
Use a plan with AI Chat
Use Add in AI Chat when you want the assistant to read a particular plan in full. Use Search workspace when you want AI to locate relevant planning passages alongside the rest of the workspace.
For example:
- “Compare this chapter with the midpoint in my 7-point plan.”
- “Which unresolved obstacles in my plot builder have not appeared in the manuscript?”
- “Turn these scene beats into a Canvas.”
