What is the right-click menu?
Right-click any document, folder, or canvas in the sidebar to access quick actions like rename, delete, move, and more.
Document actions
Right-click any document to:

Rename - Change the document name
-
Delete - Permanently remove the document
-
Move to - Move to a different folder or board tab
-
Open in split view - Place the document beside the currently open document
-
AI summary - Write or generate the compact description used when a document is added to AI Chat without Full text
-
SEO Details (Blog workspace only) - Edit slug, meta description, and keywords

Change Icon - Customize the document icon (within rename)
-
Change Color - Change the document color (within rename)
AI summaries
The AI summary window lets you write the summary yourself or select Generate with AI. Managed generation uses your included AI usage; BYOK uses your connected provider instead.
AI summaries also remain visible in folder overview.
Warning
On the Free plan, deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.
On eligible paid and AppSumo plans, deleted documents move to the Trash board tab, where they can be restored or permanently deleted. Restored documents retain their version history.
Folder actions
Right-click any folder to:

Rename - Change the folder name

Add Document - Insert document inside selected folder

Add Folder - Insert Folder inside selected folder

Add Canvas - Insert Canvas inside selected folder

Delete - Remove the folder and all its contents

Move to - Move the folder to a new location

Change Icon - Customize the folder icon (within rename)

Change Color - Change the icon color (within rename)
Warning
On the Free plan, deleting a folder permanently removes the folder and all documents and subfolders inside it.
On eligible paid and AppSumo plans, deleted folders move to the Trash board tab with their contents. Folder structure is preserved while in Trash and remains intact if restored.
Canvas actions
Right-click any canvas to:
Rename - Change the canvas name
Delete - Permanently remove the canvas
Move to - Move to a different folder or board tab
Warning
On the Free plan, deleting a canvas permanently removes the canvas.
On eligible paid and AppSumo plans, deleted canvases move to the Trash board tab and can be restored.
